Apple Unveils iOS 27 at WWDC 2026 With Smarter Siri Liquid Glass Design and Expanded AI Features

Apple has introduced iOS 27 at WWDC 2026 bringing major upgrades like an advanced Siri AI redesigned Liquid Glass interface and expanded Apple Intelligence features along with a long list of supported iPhone models and rollout timeline

Apple has officially unveiled iOS 27 at its WWDC 2026 event, marking one of the most significant updates for iPhone users in recent years. The new version brings a refreshed visual experience with the Liquid Glass design, deeper integration of Apple Intelligence, and a much more capable Siri powered by advanced AI. While developers already have access to the beta version, the public release is expected later this year alongside the upcoming iPhone 18 series.

The rollout plan for iOS 27 has been clearly structured. The developer beta is already available for testing, while the public beta is expected to arrive in July. Apple is planning to release the stable version in September, aligning it with its next generation iPhone launch cycle. This early access phase allows developers and early adopters to explore new features and provide feedback before the final release.

One of the biggest highlights of iOS 27 is the major upgrade to Siri. Apple has redesigned its virtual assistant to make interactions more natural and context aware. The new Siri is capable of understanding on screen content as well as visual inputs from the camera, making it far more intelligent in everyday use. Siri responses will now appear more seamlessly within Dynamic Island, and users will also have the option to personalize the assistant’s voice for a more natural experience.

The update also refines Apple’s Liquid Glass design system, giving users more control over the appearance of their device interface. Transparency levels of UI elements can now be adjusted, allowing users to customize how light or frosted their screen looks. This change adds a more personal touch to the visual experience and enhances overall usability.

Apple Intelligence is also expanding across more applications with this update. In Safari, users will get AI powered tab organization that helps manage browsing activity in a cleaner and more structured way. A new Notify Me feature is also being introduced to improve reminders and alerts. Meanwhile, the Passwords app now includes automatic password update suggestions for supported accounts, reducing manual effort for users.

Another notable improvement comes in the Shortcuts app, where users can now create automation using natural language commands. This makes workflow creation easier and more intuitive, especially for those who previously found shortcuts complex to set up.

Apple has confirmed that iOS 27 will support a wide range of devices starting from iPhone 11 series and newer models. The list includes multiple generations such as iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 14, iPhone 15, iPhone 16, and even the iPhone 17 lineup along with iPhone SE second and third generation models. Despite this wide compatibility, not all features will be available on every device.

The company has made it clear that advanced Apple Intelligence capabilities will be limited to newer hardware. Some of the most powerful AI features will only run on the latest iPhone models, including iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air, due to higher processing requirements. Apple’s most advanced on device AI system is expected to remain exclusive to these high end devices.

For users who want to try iOS 27 early, Apple has made the developer beta accessible through a simple installation process. Users need to download the Apple Developer app, sign in with their Apple ID, register for the developer program, and then enable beta updates from the settings menu. After selecting iOS 27 Developer Beta, the update can be installed directly from software update settings. Apple also advises users to back up their devices before installation, as early beta versions may contain bugs and performance issues.

With iOS 27, Apple is clearly pushing toward a more intelligent and customizable iPhone experience, combining AI driven tools with refined design and wider device support, setting the stage for its next generation of mobile computing.
