Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus Arrives With Quad 50MP Cameras and Flagship Features

Motorola has introduced its latest premium smartphone featuring a powerful camera setup, advanced AI tools, long battery life, durable design and high performance hardware at an attractive price.

Motorola has officially unveiled the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus in India, positioning it as a premium smartphone aimed at users who want flagship level features without entering the ultra expensive segment. With a strong focus on photography, performance and design, the device is expected to compete directly with several popular camera centric smartphones in the market.

One of the standout highlights of the new smartphone is its advanced camera system. Motorola has equipped the device with four 50 megapixel cameras, creating a professional grade imaging experience. The primary camera uses a Sony LYTIA 710 sensor that has been optimized for capturing brighter and more detailed images, particularly in low light conditions.

Photography enthusiasts will also find a 50 megapixel periscope telephoto lens capable of delivering 3.5x optical zoom and up to 50x Super Zoom functionality. Supporting the setup is a 50 megapixel ultra wide camera that also doubles as a macro shooter. On the front, the smartphone carries a 50 megapixel autofocus selfie camera designed for high resolution self portraits and video calls. Motorola says its AI powered image processing system helps produce more accurate colors, better dynamic range and enhanced detail in every shot.

The company has also paid special attention to the device’s appearance. Unlike traditional smartphone finishes, the Edge 70 Pro Plus arrives with distinctive textures and materials inspired by luxury design elements. Motorola has introduced unique finish options including Satin Luxe, Sculpted Wood and Twill Inspired designs. Developed in collaboration with Pantone, these finishes aim to offer a premium feel while helping the device stand out visually.

Despite its large feature set, the smartphone remains slim and lightweight. Weighing around 190 grams with a body thickness of approximately 7mm, Motorola claims the device delivers a comfortable in hand experience without sacrificing durability.

For entertainment and gaming, the Edge 70 Pro Plus features a 6.8 inch Super HD Plus Extreme AMOLED display. The panel supports a 144Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution and peak brightness levels reaching 5200 nits. Additional features include HDR10 Plus support, Pantone validated colors, full DCI P3 color coverage and 10 bit color depth, offering vibrant visuals for streaming, gaming and content creation.

Protection has also been considered. The display is covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i and includes Smart Water Touch technology, allowing the screen to remain responsive even in wet conditions.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor. The chipset has been designed to handle demanding tasks while supporting advanced on device AI features. Motorola has paired it with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage, ensuring fast multitasking and smooth performance across applications. A large vapor chamber cooling system helps maintain stable temperatures during extended gaming sessions and intensive workloads.

Battery performance is another major strength of the smartphone. Motorola has included a large 6500mAh silicon carbon battery that is claimed to provide up to 51 hours of usage on a single charge. The phone supports 90W TurboPower fast charging and 15W wireless charging. According to the company, just a few minutes of charging can provide several hours of battery backup, making it highly practical for busy users.

The software experience is built around Android 16 with Motorola’s Hello UI. The device introduces moto ai 2.0 along with several intelligent tools designed to improve productivity and personalization. Features such as Recall, Remember This, AI Playlist Studio, AI Image Studio, Sketch to Image and Perplexity integration aim to deliver a smarter user experience.

Durability remains a key selling point as well. The smartphone carries IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance and also meets MIL STD 810H military grade durability standards. These certifications indicate that the device is built to withstand challenging environmental conditions.

Motorola has also committed to long term software support. Buyers will receive three years of Android operating system upgrades along with five years of security updates, helping the device remain relevant and secure for an extended period.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus has been launched in India with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The official price has been set at Rs 47,999, while promotional offers are expected to bring the effective price down to Rs 44,999. Sales are scheduled to begin on June 11 through online platforms and selected retail outlets across the country.

With premium cameras, flagship performance, a large battery and advanced AI capabilities, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus enters the market as a serious contender for users looking for a feature rich smartphone that balances style, power and value.
