Vivo Y500 Global Launch Appears Near as Certification Listing Surfaces
A fresh certification listing has hinted at the upcoming global debut of the Vivo Y500, a smartphone expected to bring a large battery, AMOLED display, capable processor and fast charging support.

Vivo seems to be preparing another major addition to its Y series lineup as the Vivo Y500 has now appeared on a certification platform ahead of its expected international launch. Industry watchers believe the smartphone could soon arrive in multiple markets, including India, following its earlier introduction in China.
The latest development comes from a listing on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group certification platform. The device has reportedly been spotted under the model numbers V2627, V2634 and V2635. While the certification does not reveal complete specifications, it indicates that several variants of the smartphone are being readied for launch outside China. The listing also confirms Bluetooth connectivity across all versions of the handset.
Although Vivo has not officially disclosed whether these variants will support 4G or 5G networks, the certification has strengthened expectations that the company is moving closer to a wider rollout of the device. The appearance of multiple model numbers often suggests preparations for different regional markets.
The Vivo Y500 was first unveiled in China and attracted attention because of its massive battery capacity. The smartphone packs an impressive 8,200 mAh battery, making it one of the larger battery offerings in its segment. It also supports 90 W fast charging, allowing users to recharge the device more quickly despite the large battery size.
On the display front, the Chinese version of the Vivo Y500 features a 6.77 inch Full HD Plus AMOLED screen with a resolution of 2392 x 1080 pixels. The panel supports a 120 Hz refresh rate and HDR10 Plus technology, aiming to deliver smoother visuals and enhanced viewing quality for entertainment and gaming.
The smartphone runs on Android 15 based OriginOS 15 and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. Graphics performance is handled by the Mali G615 GPU, giving the device enough power for everyday multitasking and demanding mobile applications.
Photography is another area where Vivo has focused attention. The rear camera setup includes a 50 megapixel primary sensor accompanied by a 2 megapixel secondary camera. For selfies and video calls, the handset features an 8 megapixel front facing camera.
The growing interest around the Vivo Y500 comes shortly after the company introduced another Y series smartphone, the Vivo Y6t. That device features a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor, a 6.74 inch HD LCD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a 6,500 mAh battery. It also offers Android 16 based OriginOS 6 along with essential connectivity options including 5G support, Bluetooth, GPS, a USB Type C port and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
With certification activity now underway, expectations are rising that Vivo may soon announce the global launch timeline for the Y500. If the international model retains the same specifications as its Chinese counterpart, it could appeal strongly to users looking for a smartphone with long battery life, fast charging and a modern display experience.
