Firing attack Imran Khan Car: Former Pakistan Prime minister Imran Khan was injured in his leg in a firing on Thursday during his ‘real freedom’ rally in Wazirabad. Four others were also injured in the incident with Pakistan former PM. Soon after the incident, Imran Khan was transferred from the container to a bulletproof vehicle. Videos from the rally showed Imran Khan being transferred to a bulletproof vehicle after the firing. He was travelling in an open-top vehicle during the rally. Sources said PTI leader Faisal Javed was also injured.

The incident, about 200 km from Islamabad, brought back chilling memories of how former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was shot dead during a rally in 2007, though Mr Khan escaped serious injury, said news agencies.

Barely an hour before the firing, he had told supporters in another part of Gujranwala, where he was scheduled to deliver a speech, that they should accompany him to another chowk instead, promising to speak there, Geo reported. His party tweeted a video showing him boarding the container-truck from his black SUV.

Former Pak PM had asserted that the protest will continue for another 10 months till the date for elections is announced. Earlier, the plan was to reach the federal capital by November 4, which was later revised to November 8-9 and then again to November 11.

Former Pak PM was leading the ongoing anti-government long march towards Islamabad. The march had entered the seventh day on Thursday.
