Hasanamba temple records Rs 1 crore revenue on first day of darshan

Hassan The doors of the sacred Hasanamba temple which open only once a year were thrown open to devotees on October 9, marking the beginning of the much-awaited annual darshan. Within just two days, the shrine has witnessed a sea of devotees and a record-breaking collection of offerings and ticket sales.

On the very first day, more than one lakh devotees had darshan of Goddess Hasanamba. According to temple authorities, the revenue collected on the opening day alone has crossed rs1 crore, setting a new record in the temple’s history. The surge in income is largely attributed to heavy weekend crowds and brisk ticket sales.

Officials reported that rs 65 lakh was collected from rs1,000-value special entry tickets and another rs35 lakh from rs 300-value tickets. The temple administration expects a steady rise in collections as more devotees arrive over the coming days.

District in-charge minister Krishna Byre Gowda said that the response to this year’s festival has been overwhelming. “We have already seen record income in the opening days. Last year, the total revenue was around rs12 crore, but this time, we expect collections to exceed rs15 crore,” he stated.

So far, over 91,000 devotees have visited the temple without any major incident. Elaborate arrangements have been made to ensure the safety and convenience of pilgrims, with special focus on queue management, water facilities, and security.

Officials anticipate a daily turnout of nearly two lakh devotees until the temple closes on October 23. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar are also scheduled to visit the shrine on October 15 for darshan.

The Hasanamba festival continues to stand as a symbol of devotion and heritage, drawing devotees from across Karnataka and beyond every year.
