Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro launch: Vivo India on Wednesday announced the launch of its latest X80 series smartphones Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro in India. Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro launched in India with TWS earbuds: Check Price, features.

These smartphones has been co-engineered by Zeiss, there is also a dedicated Vivo V1+ imaging chip, and more. The Vivo X80 Pro will be available in Cosmic Black, whereas the Vivo X80 will come in Cosmic Black and Urban Blue. Both X80 and X80 Pro will go on sale beginning from May 25.

Vivo X80 Pro specifications

Vivo X80 Pro has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 2K (1,440×3,200 pixels) resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and runs on Android 12-based OriginOS. The smartphone Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.2, NFC, and Infrared (IR) blaster wireless connectivity options.

The smartphone is backed by  a 4,700mAh battery that supports 80W Flash Charge wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. The Vivo X80 Pro has IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The Vivo X80 Pro features a quad rear camera setup.

Including a 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GNV primary sensor, a 48MP ultra-wide Sony IMX598 shooter, a 12MP  Sony IMX663 sensor with a portrait lens, and an 8MP sensor with a periscope-shaped ultra-telephoto lens. There is also a 32MP selfie camera on the front with an f/2.45 aperture.

Vivo X80 specifications

The Vivo X80 has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a full-HD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and up to 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and runs Android 12 with an OriginOS Ocean skin on top.

The Vivo X80 is equipped with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W Flash Charge fast charging technology. In terms of camera specifications, Vivo X80 has a 50MP Sony IMX866 RGBW sensor with an f/1.75 aperture lens that offers optical image stabilisation (OIS), a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and a 12MP portrait sensor with an f/1.98 aperture.

There is also a 32MP selfie camera for video calls and selfies. “Our new X80 Series demonstrates Vivo’s constant pursuit towards user-oriented innovation and premium mobile imaging technology. We are proud to mark yet another milestone for vivo flagship smartphones in collaboration with ZEISS,” Vikas Tagra, Head of Product Management, Vivo India, said in a statement.

“We hope that vivo X80 series will set a new benchmark of premium smartphone experience,” Tagra further added. The Vivo X80 Pro is available at Rs 79,999 for the lone 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. On the other hand, the Vivo X80 is priced at Rs. 54,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model and Rs. 59,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage configuration.

HDFC Bank users will also be eligible for an instant discount of Rs 7000 along with six-month device protection under V-shield and access to Vivo Upgrade. Vivo also launched the Vivo TWS 2 Series earbuds. The Vivo TWS 2 ANC has been launched at a price of Rs 5,999 and the Vivo TWS 2 has been launched at Rs 3,299.
