Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Samsung has expanded its Galaxy S25 lineup with the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge – a device that focuses on offering flagship-level features in a lightweight and thin design.

Announced through an online event, this new phone comes with a thickness of just 5.8 mm, making it one of the thinnest smartphones the company has ever launched under its premium Galaxy S series.

The device is priced at roughly Rs. 94,000) in the US. The Galaxy S25 Edge with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage will be sold in India at a starting price of Rs. 1,09,999. The 12GB + 512GB model is priced at Rs. 1,21,999.

The Galaxy S25 Edge has a 6.7-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display that supports an adaptive refresh rate of 1Hz to 120Hz. Samsung has used Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 to protect the screen, which contributes to overall durability.

This phone has a titanium frame and weighs just 163 grams, aimed at users who want a lightweight build without compromising on performance. This device uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor for the Galaxy, which is the same chip found in the regular S25 models.

Samsung says the phone uses a redesigned vapor chamber that is thinner but wider than usual, which helps it manage heat more effectively during heavy use. It also retains IP68 certification for dust and water resistance.

In terms of optics, the phone comes with a 200-megapixel main camera, which is said to offer 25 percent better brightness in low-light conditions compared to the base Galaxy S40. The primary sensor is paired with a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera that supports autofocus and can also capture macro shots. A 12-megapixel front camera is available for selfies and video calls.
This phone runs Android 15 with Samsung’s latest One UI 7. It brings new AI features like Call Transcript, Drawing Assist, and Writing Assist. Google’s Circle to Search feature is also built in. The company has promised to provide seven generations of Android updates and security patches for the device.

Connectivity features include support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, 5G, and NFC. This phone is backed by a 3900mAh battery, which supports 25W wired charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging (branded as Wireless PowerShare).

The Galaxy S25 Edge is aimed at users who want a premium experience at a lower price, without sacrificing performance, camera quality, or long-term software support. It will be interesting to see how the new Galaxy S25 Edge phone performs in real life.
