Oppo is preparing to introduce its new F35 5G series in India, with the official launch scheduled for October 5. The lineup will include the standard Oppo F35 5G and the higher positioned Oppo F35 Pro 5G.
The company has already revealed the design of both smartphones through a dedicated Flipkart microsite. The two models follow different camera layouts, giving them a distinct appearance despite belonging to the same series.
The Oppo F35 5G is expected to feature a horizontal pill shaped camera module on the rear. The module houses two cameras along with an LED flash. The Pro model takes a different approach with a rectangular camera unit placed on a flat rear panel.
Camera specifications are among the details already highlighted ahead of the launch. The Oppo F35 5G is expected to carry a 50MP primary camera paired with a 2MP depth sensor. The Oppo F35 Pro 5G is set to offer a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation and an 8MP ultra wide camera.
The Pro model is also expected to support video recording in up to 4K resolution. Both smartphones are likely to feature 50MP front cameras for selfies and video calls, giving the series a strong focus on front camera performance.
Performance could be another major difference between the two devices. The Oppo F35 5G is expected to use the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 chipset, while the Oppo F35 Pro 5G could be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Max processor.
Both smartphones are also tipped to feature flat AMOLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate. This should provide smoother scrolling and animations compared with standard 60Hz panels. Oppo has not yet confirmed all display specifications.
Battery capacity could make the F35 series particularly interesting. Reports suggest that the smartphones may feature batteries of up to 10,000mAh. The exact capacity for each model is expected to be confirmed at the Indian launch.
Oppo is also expected to include AI based features as part of the new series. Details about the specific AI tools have not been fully revealed, so more information is likely to emerge during the launch event.
Thermal management could receive attention as well, with the smartphones reportedly using a vapour chamber cooling system. Such a setup can help manage heat when the devices are used for gaming, recording videos or other demanding tasks.
The two phones will also have their controls positioned along the right side, including the power button and volume controls. For colours, the standard model is expected to be available in white, while the Oppo F35 Pro 5G could arrive in orange.
Oppo is also preparing to expand its smartphone portfolio in international markets. The company is reportedly working on the Find X10 series, with pre orders already starting in the UK for certain models. Singapore is also expected to receive the series, following its recent introduction in China.
For Indian buyers, however, the immediate focus remains on the Oppo F35 5G series. Pricing, detailed specifications and availability will be confirmed when the two smartphones officially launch on October 5.
