New WhatsApp feature update: Now can edit forwarded messages

New Delhi: Meta owned WhatsApp has released a new feature for its users. In this new feature, users will be able to edit details and add more information to forward photos, videos, GIFs and other documents. Currently, this feature is available to some beta users and will be rolled out to everyone soon. According to WABetaInfo, a website that monitors new updates and upcoming features of WhatsApp, this feature comes in handy when it cannot provide accurate details about a photo, video or image or if you are watching a video. The new detail can be sent as a separate message. You can delete the existing title and replace it with your own title. No one will know that it is unrelated to the original message.

Users are now able to add more information to the forwarded media they send. Be able to give details about why the media content was forwarded and share their thoughts, opinions or feelings about the content. Further, the report states that some users will face issues in viewing status updates and downloading videos after installing this update.

Earlier this mod was available to a select group of beta users. An extension of multi-device support, the feature is designed to allow users to link their existing WhatsApp account to another mobile phone.
