Jio’s first ever 5G smartphone to hit the market: Check Price and features

Rumors that the country’s No. 1 telecom company Jio will launch its first 5G smartphone in 2022 are at the fore, news about the arrival of Jio’s first 5G smartphone has been doing the rounds since last one year. Meanwhile, Jio has said that it will provide 5G service in this month itself, if initially this service was provided in big cities, then the service will be available in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. So, what are the Jio Phone 5G features, how will the price be..? Here are the details of the information received so far including.

Reliance Jio, which launched a low-cost 4G phone, is now all set to launch a low-cost phone, as per a recent report, the price of the Jio Phone 5G in India is said to be between Rs 9,000 to Rs 12,000 (around $120 to $160). According to a report by one of the leading tech media, 91Mobiles, the Jio Phone 5G price in India will be between Rs 9,000 and Rs 12,000.

The Jio Phone 5G device is said to sport a 6.5-inch HD IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 1,600 x 720 pixels. The device is expected to have a standard 60Hz refresh rate. Also, the phone is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G processor.

It will be paired with Adreno 619 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable storage. On the software front, the Jio Phone 5G is said to boot Android 11 OS with Google Play Services and Jio Digital Suite apps out of the box.

Just like the Jio Phone Next, this 5G capable Jio Phone will also run a customized version of Android 11. It includes custom tweaks like always-on Google Assistant, auto-reading text, instant translation and support via Google Lens and Google Translate.

The device is reported to support N3, N5, N28, N40 and N78 6G bands in various Indian languages. The phone is said to pack a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging on the Next 5G USB Type-C charging port.

The Jio Phone is reported to sport a 13MP main camera and a 2MP macro camera, while on the front, the device packs in an 8MP selfie shooter. The rear camera is capable of shooting 1080p videos at 60fps and 720p videos at 120fps. Also, the Jio Phone 5G is also said to feature a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
