When it comes to Google Pixel 7a, hands-on leaked images shared by 9To5Google reveal that it will have 8GB of RAM and will feature an updated camera bar design.
According to the leaked images, the device is expected to feature a single SIM slot, USB-C for charging and some waterproofing around the SIM tray. The images also revealed that the smartphone will be equipped with 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, that’s up from the 6GB of RAM offered by last year’s Pixel 6a. The handset features a 6.1-inch OLED display that bears a 60Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ (2,400 x 1080p) resolution.
The display is further shielded with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It also gets HDR capabilities for popping and vibrant colour reproduction. Under the display, there is an optical fingerprint sensor for easy device authentication. Pixel 6a sports a dual camera setup at the back with a 12MP main wide-angle lens along with a 12.2MP ultra-wide shooter.
It also gets a dual-LED flash to help with night shots. The front features an 8MP front selfie camera, which is placed in a centre punch-hole cutout. Google is using the same powerful Google Tensor processor on the Pixel 6a, which is the same processor the company previously used on the Google Pixel 6 series. The processor’s design also features a Titan M2 security coprocessor to strengthen the overall system security.
Google has made only the 6GB/128 variant available as of now. Pixel 6a has a 4,410mAh battery capacity and comes with 18W USB Power Delivery 3.0 fast charging. Google is also offering features like Adaptive Battery to prolong the battery by up to 24 hours.
