Canon Launches EOS R6V in India With RF 20–50mm Power Zoom Lens Aimed at Professional Creators
Canon has expanded its professional camera lineup in India with the EOS R6V full frame hybrid camera and RF 20–50mm F4L IS USM lens featuring built in power zoom advanced video tools and cinema focused performance design

Canon has officially introduced a new professional imaging kit in the Indian market, bringing together the EOS R6V full frame camera and the RF 20–50mm F4L IS USM lens. This launch marks an important step in Canon’s push toward hybrid creators who demand both high quality video and photography performance in a single setup.
The pricing of the new lineup positions it in the premium segment. The Canon EOS R6V body is priced at 235995 rupees, while the RF 20–50mm lens carries a price tag of 142995 rupees. The combined kit is available for 355995 rupees. Canon is offering the product through its official e shop as well as authorized retail stores across India.
What makes this launch stand out is the video centric approach of the EOS R6V. Built on the performance architecture of the EOS R6 Mark III, the camera has been designed keeping extended recording sessions, vertical content creation and flexible post production workflows in mind. It comes equipped with a 32.5 megapixel full frame CMOS sensor that supports 7K open gate RAW and MP4 recording using the full sensor area, offering greater creative control for filmmakers and content creators.
Canon has also focused on performance stability during long shoots by including a built in cooling fan system. The camera supports high speed continuous shooting up to 40 frames per second with electronic shutter and pre shooting mode. For stabilization, it features 5 axis in body image stabilization that helps reduce shake in handheld shooting situations.
On the professional workflow side, the EOS R6V supports Canon Log 2 and Canon Log 3 profiles along with custom LUT support, waveform monitoring and 4 channel audio recording. It also includes HDMI Type A output for external monitoring and production setups. The body has been designed with an ergonomic compact form factor and includes a dedicated tripod socket along with an auto rotating interface for vertical shooting. Remote operation is also supported through the Canon Connect app and wireless controller systems.
Alongside the camera, Canon has introduced the RF 20–50mm F4L IS USM lens, which is the company’s first full frame L series lens with built in power zoom functionality. Designed for cinematic control and hybrid shooting needs, the lens offers a versatile 20 to 50mm focal range that covers both wide angle and standard framing.
The lens maintains a constant f4 aperture throughout the zoom range and includes an internal power zoom system with 15 adjustable speed levels for smooth transitions. It also features internal zoom construction and up to 6 stops of optical image stabilization. When combined with in body stabilization, it can achieve up to 8 stops of correction, making it highly effective for handheld video work.
Canon has also focused on portability and durability with this lens. It offers a compact and lightweight design along with dust and moisture resistance for field use. The optical construction has been optimized to reduce distortion, flare and ghosting, ensuring cleaner output in challenging lighting conditions. At 50mm, the lens provides a minimum focusing distance of 0.24 meters, allowing for closer and more detailed shots.
With this launch, Canon is clearly targeting filmmakers, hybrid creators and professionals who need reliable performance across both still and video formats, bringing cinema style control into a compact full frame system.
