When will Airtel 5G launch in India?
Airtel CEO Gopal Vittal recently confirmed that the telecom operator will launch 5G services in August. The company has reported that it will start deploying a 5G network in India by the end of this month in partnership with big tech companies like Samsung, Nokia and Ericsson. Telecom giant Airtel has revealed plans to cover all towns and cities, including rural areas, by 2024.
Reliance Jio Chairman Akash Ambani recently said that “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” will be celebrated with the rollout of 5G across India. Although Jio didn’t launch it on August 15, considering the statements made by the telecom giant, it can be said that it is expected to happen soon.
Companies are expected to roll out 5G on a trial basis in select cities first. According to some reports, the Prime Minister will officially inaugurate the 5G network during the India Mobile Congress (IMC) on September 29.

Airtel is said to launch 5G only in 13 cities first. Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune are reported to be.
How much will Airtel 5G service cost?
Airtel 5G pricing is expected to be similar to 4G prepaid plans. The company’s CTO Randeep Sekhon said, “If you look globally, there is not much difference between 5G and 4G tariffs. We expect 5G plans in India to be similar to 4G rates.

Vodafone Idea, on the other hand, estimates that the price should be higher than 4G as people are getting the fastest 5G network in the country.Currently, customers get unlimited benefits with 4G prepaid plans priced between Rs 500 and Rs 600. So 5G plans are likely to be priced in the same range. It remains to be seen how expensive 5G will be in India.
