Yashaswini Yojana: Karnataka govt give good news to people

Yashaswini Yojana: The state government has given good news to the people of the state that the state government is thinking of Yashaswini Yojana re-implementing the Yashaswini Health Insurance Scheme in Karnataka from October 2.

1.5 crore people of the state including 41 lakh members of the cooperative sector and their families will benefit from the scheme if the Yashasvini Yojana is re-implemented, which was discontinued three years ago.

Through Yashasvini Yojana, cashless facility can be availed for 823 surgeries of 295 diseases identified in 14 departments of the field of medicine. The state government is thinking of increasing the earlier 905 Yashasvini Work Hospitals to 1800, under the Rural Yashasvini Yojana, 1.25 lakhs will be given for treatment once.

It is said that cashless surgery facility can be availed upto 2 lakh rupees if there is a limit and more than one treatment.

Heavy Rains poring in coastal Karnataka from last one week. Indian metrological Department issued red alert for coastal districts Udupi, Dakshina kannada and Uttara kannada for next 3 days. Yellow Red alert has been issued for Saturday and Sunday in Kalaburagi district.

Kalaburagi, a place known for soaring temperatures, has turned into a hill station. The District Commissioner of Kalaburagi has declared holiday for schools and colleges on Saturday. Yellow alert has also been issued for Belagavi and Bidar districts.

Rainfall in the Western Ghats has raised the water levels by 3 feet of the river Kali in Uttara Kannada district. The people of Dandeli town are worried as the water has started inundating residential areas in the outskirts already. The inflow to 124.80 feet tall KRS dam has increased drastically.
