The central government is also distributing 5 kg of rice to each member of the family under the Pradhan Manthri Garib Kalyan Yojana. When the state government was implement the Anna Bhagya scheme, the problem of rice was at the forefront. For this reason, five kg of rice from the central government share is being distributed through ration centers. But under the state government’s Anna Bhagya Yojana, instead of 5 kg of rice, cash is being transferred directly to the bank account of the ration card holder.

Ration distributors are now ready to fight against this action of the state government. Distributing only central government rice will cause financial loss to the ration distributors. Therefore, this month, without opening the bags of rice, they have planned to hold a massive protest in Bengaluru.

If the state government is not able to supply rice, they are insisting on distributing 10 kg to consumers by adding corn and millet along with rice. Only five kg of rice from the central government’s share is being given, while the money from the state government’s share is being transferred directly.

But the ration distributors are alleging that the money of Anna Bhagya Yojana is not reaching all the consumers. Due to this, the distributors and customers are suffering losses. For this reason, they are putting pressure on the government to distribute only ten kg of rice.

The ration distributors have called for a massive protest at Bengaluru’s freedom Park on November 7. This month, they have touched the government’s heat without releasing the rice that has already belonged to the ration shops. Therefore, the ration card holders are currently not getting the Anna Bhagya Yojana rice.

It is not easy to distribute rice instead of cash under the Anna Bhagya Yojana by the Congress government in the state. The central government has refused to provide additional rice to the state government. Also in other states there is not enough rice available for Anna Bhagya Yojana of Karnataka.

The state government is not willing to spend expensive money to buy rice for Anna Bhagya Yojana. Even if the government agrees to the demand of the ration distributors, supplying rice is not so easy. At the same time, it is doubtful that the ration card holders will get the ration materials in the month of November, if the ration distributors who are fighting against the government do not relax their position.
