Diwali Festival: Karnataka government gives good news to people

Northwest Karnataka Road Transport Corporation arranged more than 500 busses for diwali festival for karnataka people to travel their home town.

More than 500 special buses have been arranged by Northwest Karnataka Road Transport Corporation for the convenience of public passengers arriving from various places of the state and outside the state for the Diwali festival of lights and returning after the festival.

Weekend on November 11th is Saturday and 12th is Sunday is Naraka Chaturdashi, On 13th Monday Lakshmi Pooja and 14th Tuesday is Balipadyami. On Friday 10th and Saturday 11th, people from various parts of the state and neighboring states including Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Goa, Pune in Maharashtra are expected to come to their hometowns in large numbers.

Additional buses have been arranged from Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Pune, Goa and other places to Hubli, Dharwad, Gadag, Belagavi, Chikkodi, Uttara Kannada, Haveri, Bagalkote and other important places to facilitate the passengers arriving for the festival.

For this, more than 250 additional buses including 50 luxury buses like multi-axle Volvo, Sleeper, Rajahamsa and 200 express buses are planned to be operated. Also, additional buses are run from the local bus stations within the district and to the neighboring districts according to the passenger traffic.

Similarly, for the convenience of travelers returning from their hometowns after the festival. From 15th to 19th, more than 250 special buses will be operated from major bus stations under the organization’s coverage to important places in the state and neighboring states including Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Goa, Pune in Maharashtra, depending on the passenger traffic.

Advance Booking Discount: Advance ticket booking is available at the organization’s website www.ksrtc.in or KSRTC Mobile App, ticket booking counters at major bus stations and private franchise counters. If four or more seats are booked in a single ticket, a 5% discount will be given on the fare.

A 10% discount on the return fare will be given if a single ticket is purchased for both the outward and return journeys. In order to avoid the last minute rush, it is advisable to make advance booking immediately, the North-West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation has informed.
