Monsoon rains have started in the state, heavy rains are falling in many districts of the state and the weather department has predicted that the rains will continue for the next four days. Monsoon Enter Karnataka: Yellow Alert Issued in these districts.

Yellow alert has been announced today due to the possibility of heavy rain in Uttara Kannada, Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. The India Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of rain in these districts on June 13 and 14.

The very severe cyclonic storm Biparjoy turned into an extremely severe cyclonic storm at 5.30 am Sunday. However, it may not hit Gujarat as per the current forecast, said an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official on Saturday.

Waves hit the city’s waterfront during high tide due to the formation of Cyclone Biporjoy in the Arabian Sea, at Marine Drive in Mumbai, Saturday. The cyclone will bring thunderstorms and strong wind in Gujarat in the next five days as it is likely to pass at a distance of 200-300 km from the Porbandar coast.

In its latest forecast, the IMD said the cyclone will move north-north-eastwards gradually during the next 24 hours, before moving north-north-westward during the subsequent three days.
