Major Accident: A terrible incident took place at Shiruru tollgate in Byndoor Taluk of Udupi district when an ambulance which came at high speed lost control of the driver and hit the toll post. The ambulance was transporting patients from Honnavar in Uttara Kannada district to Kundapur when the driver lost control while approaching the Shiruru toll plaza Byndoor Taluk. At this time, the staff working at the toll plaza have come forward to allow smooth traffic. But the speeding ambulance hit a pillar in the toll plaza.

The people inside the ambulance were seriously injured. Also, the toll personnel who were helping the ambulance to move were also injured. The injured in the incident have been admitted to the hospital.
