KSRTC, which has been branding only air-conditioned buses, has for the first time launched a new model of non-air-conditioned (Non-AC) buses called 'Pallakki'. This bus will ply on 12 major routes of the state.

KSRTC Pallakki Utsav Bus: Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) launch Pallakki Utsav Non AC sleeper buses and booking has started. Buses are plying on 12 major routes and the ticket price is increased by 5 to 8 percent. This bus will ply to various towns not only from Bengaluru but also from Shivamogga, Kalaburagi and Mangaluru. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated 100 new Karnataka Transport and 40 non-AC sleeper (Pallakki) buses. Pallakki Utsav Bus will provide a more comfortable travel experience with the slogan of ‘joy is travelling’.

Bengaluru – Belgavi (Hubli, Dharwad route)

Bengaluru – Horanadu

Bengaluru – Gangavati (Hospet Route)

Bengaluru – Sagar (Shivamogga Route)

Bengaluru – Puttur

Bengaluru – Belthangadi (Dharamsthala)

Bengaluru – Kundapur

Mangaluru – Talikote

Mangaluru – Mantralaya (Bellary)

Davangere – Mangaluru

Davangere – Kalaburagi

Shivamogga – Vijayapura.

Compared to the non-AC sleeper buses that are already plying, the fare is increase of 5 to 8 percent has been made. Example If a regular non-AC sleeper bus ticket from Bengaluru to Gangavati costs Rs 726, this new bus costs Rs 770. Online ticket booking has already started.

Each of the luxury buses introduced by KSRTC has been named separately. The names used by the kings in the palace are kept. The buses have already been named Airavata, Ambari, Rajahamsa. Similarly, non-AC sleeper buses are named ‘Pallakki’.

30 sleeper berth seats

Fire detection and extinguishing system

Shoe storage space for each passenger

Pillow system for passengers

Rear view camera facility for the convenience of drivers.
