Anna Bhagya Scheme is one of the guaranteed schemes of the Karnataka government, the central government is already providing 5 kg of rice free every month to the BPL and Antyodaya beneficiaries of the state. In addition to this, the state government has announced that it will provide five kg of rice free of charge, but the state government has not been able to provide additional rice.
Therefore, instead of rice, money is directly deposited into the beneficiary’s bank account (DBT). Two installments have already been deposited and a lot of confusion has been created regarding the release of the third installment.

Will the third installment not be released?
Yes, for those who have already received two installments, confusion has started whether the third installment month of September money will be released or not. There is information that money has been released to some account. But many people have requested the government to give rice instead of money.
As the state government could not provide rice, the government is directly transferring money to the beneficiary’s account at 34 rupees per kg, 170 per 5 kg rice. But Minister Cheluvarayaswamy spoke to the government at Vidhan Saudha about this and requested that the decision to give money instead of rice should be withdrawn and nutritious food should be provided to the people instead.

No more Anna Bhagya money?
Many people’s ration cards have already been cancelled. Due to this, Anna Bhagya scheme money may not received. According to the minister, there is information that the government is thinking of providing rice or nutritious food instead of money. Yes, this confusion has reached home among people too. It is being said that the government can give rice or nutrient food instead of money from the fourth installment, even if the money comes from the third installment.

The minister requested that it is advisable to give nutritious food like millet, corn, groundnut oil, if money is given, there is no benefit to the beneficiaries. In this background, we have to wait and see if Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will stop giving money to the beneficiaries instead of rice and decide to give some other item.
