Karnataka Lockdown Update: extends night curfew, COVID curbs till October 11

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner has extended the coronavirus-induced restrictions till October 11. The night curfew from 10 pm to 5 am will also remain in force.

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner extends Covid-induced restrictions including night curfew (10 pm to 5 am) till October 11. Among other relaxations, pubs can resume operations from October 3. While students of standard 6 to 12 can attend classes with full strength in districts with less than 1 per cent positivity rate.

Karnataka on Monday reported 504 new cases of COVID-19 and 20 deaths, taking the total number of infections to 29,73,899 and death toll to 37,746, the health department said. The day also saw 893 discharges, taking the total number of recoveries to 29,23,320.

Of the new cases recorded, 181 were from Bengaluru Urban, as the city saw 265 discharges and 5 deaths. Total number of active cases in the state is at 12,804.
