The rain will provide relief from the heat, and people are advised to stay indoors when it rains. It is known that there will be no holiday for schools before board exams. But if the situation worsens, schools are more likely to be closed.

According to IMD, some districts of Karnataka will receive rain, while other districts will not receive rain. Rain is likely in Tumkur, Ramanagara, Mysore, Mandya, Kodagu, Kolar, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Chikkaballapur, Chamarajanagar, Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural and Dakshina Kannada districts.

A rain warning has been declared for March 23 and 24, and people should confirm with local authorities and schools whether or not schools will be closed on these two days. Due to the forecast of rain, there is a high chance that schools will be closed on March 23 and 24, mainly in areas where heavy rainfall is expected.

The IMD has predicted that summer temperatures will continue to rise in the next few days, with the mercury level reaching 38 degrees Celsius. But with the possibility of rain from March 23, the temperature is expected to drop, bringing relief to the residents.

Summer vacations for schools and colleges in Karnataka are likely to begin from April 11, i.e. after the board exams are over. School holidays are likely to last for about two months, with schools reopening in June. Citizens are urged to stay informed about the weather and take appropriate precautions to stay safe during the rainy season.

The Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) has released the IMD forecasts and given district-wise rainfall forecasts for the coming week.
