Karnataka government has allowed 10,889 mosques to use loudspeakers

The Karnataka government has given permission to 10,889 mosques in the state to use loud speakers. Dangal started against Azan in the state. Due to this, the Karnataka government had imposed a restriction on the use of loud speakers without permission. Karnataka government has allowed 10,889 mosques to use loudspeakers.

Later, mosques, temples, and churches were allowed to apply for permission for loud speakers. The licensing authority was given to the state police by the government. Against this backdrop, 17,850 applications were received from temples, mosques and churches. In this, the government has given permission to 10,889 mosques, more than 3000 Hindu temples, and more than 1,400 churches.

The government has given permission for 2 years and permission has been given after charging a fee of Rs 450. Of these, Bangalore has the highest number of loudspeaker permits (1,841), including mosques, temples, churches. More than 744 mosques in Vijayapur have been given loudspeaker license.

Loudspeakers should be used from 6 am to 10 pm. Only regular decibels should be used. Installation of decibel control equipment is mandatory. Allowed a noise level of 75 decibels during the day and 70 decibels at night in the industrial area.

Noise level allowed in commercial areas is 65 decibels during the day and 55 decibels at night. In residential zones, the noise level may be 55 decibels during the day and 45 decibels at night. Further, 50 decibels during the day and 40 decibels at night are allowed in the quiet zone.
