Union Coal and Mines Minister Pralhad Joshi has said that there is an attractive opportunity for capital investment in the coal sector. He spoke at the Global Investment Conclave in Bangalore today.

Domestic coal production has reached 900 million tonnes in the current year. Pralhad Joshi expressed confidence that Coal India will produce one billion tonnes of coal in 2025. There are good investment opportunities in coal mining sector. An industry-friendly environment has been created in the coal sector.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed that coal sector contribute 2.5 percent to the country’s GDP. The auction process will be held in Delhi tomorrow, and whoever wants to participate, he welcomed the investors. Rules for smooth transfer of 21 clearances required for mining have been implemented. As a result, more investment is being made in the coal sector and the production has also increased at a very fast pace, he said.

Economically, India is growing rapidly. Karnataka will also play a major role in achieving Prime Minister Modi’s goal of five trillion dollar economy. At the same time, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi called upon the investors that Karnataka, which is a progressive state, should come forward for more investment.

Investment over 7 lakh crore: Minister Nirmala Sitharaman

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that Karnataka is top in the field of renewable energy. Karnataka has 63% share. Karnataka state is ahead in IT export and biotechnology. Karnataka Government is at the forefront of employment generation.

An investment target of 5 lakh crore was set in the convention. But Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in the conference that more than 7 lakh crores of capital has flowed.
