Heavy Rainfall rainfall alert in Karnataka will continue across the state from today till November 9. Cold weather has increased in Bengaluru and dry weather has prevailed in many parts of North Karnataka. In between, it is raining. Due to surface cyclone formation in Bay of Bengal, moderate rain is likely to occur in coastal and hilly parts of the state for 2 days from today.

IMD issued Light heavy rainfall is likely to occur in the hilly, northern hinterland, coastal and Bengaluru areas today. Tumkur, Ramnagar, Chikkaballapur, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru, Bengaluru City, Bengaluru Rural, Kolar, Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, Udupi districts have been warned of heavy rainfall today.

There will be moderate rainfall in Mysore, Chamarajanagar, Mandya districts and the rain will continue in the southern interior as well. From today in the hill country, north hinterland, coast, Bengaluru part. The Meteorological Department has predicted that there will be thundershowers till 9.

Heavy Rainfall is likely in southern interior today and rain is likely in northern interior today and tomorrow (Nov 9). It will also rain in coastal areas today. Yellow alert has been declared in Bengaluru city, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore and Ramnagar districts. There is a possibility of fog around Bengaluru.

IMD issued Light heavy rainfall will occur in Dharwad, Belgavi, Haveri, Raichur. Dry air will continue over rest of North Karnataka. Thunderstorms are expected in Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh. Air quality will be very poor in North, Central and East India.

Thunderstorms with lightning are likely to continue over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Kerala and Mahe. Widespread rain is likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands today. Tamil Nadu-Puducherry-Karaikal will receive heaviest rainfall on November 11. IMD issued Heavy rainfall is expected in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on November 8.
