IMD issued heavy rainfall alert in these places for next 24 hours

In the coastal districts of the state, the storm of rain along with the more wind since last night. Therefore, in the next 24 hours, the monsoon rains will intensify and the coastal districts like Udupi and Dakshina Kannada will receive heavy rains in many parts of the interior, the India Meteorological Department has predicted. IMD issued heavy rainfall alert in these places for next 24 hours.

Orange alert has been announced in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Shivamogga due to heavy rainfall. Yellow alert has been announced for Tumkur, Vijayanagar, Hassan, Haveri, Gadag, Dharwad and Belgavi districts.

Rain is likely to occur in all the coastal districts in the next 24 hours. Wind speed is likely to be 40 to 50 kmph over northern hinterland. 30 to 40 kmph is likely in southern hinterland. Especially in coastal, the wind speed will blow at a speed of about 50 kilometers per hour.

Therefore, until further notice, tourists, fishermen and local observers who go to the seashore have been warned that it is better to stay away for some time. The intensity of rain has increased along the coast for the past few days. Due to climatic changes in the Arabian Sea, monsoon rain clouds have become active in this region.

Widespread rainfall is being recorded in three coastal districts daily. The weather department has predicted that this rain will continue throughout this week. On Sunday, IMD also informed that Tamil Nadu will likely receive light to moderate rainfall in several districts in the next three days.

“On July 3, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning at many places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. Heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places in Nilgiris and Coimbatore districts, Tirupur, Dindigul, Theni, Thenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, Tiruvallur, Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Vellore, Ranippet, Tirupattur, Thiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Cuddalore and Puducherry districts”, the IMD said in a statement.
