IMD issued Heavy Rainfall alert: Although the month of November is coming to an end, there are still no signs of abating in the rain in Karnataka. It was cold all over the state for the last one week. However, the rain is expected to increase again from today. IMD issued Heavy Rainfall alert in Karnataka next 3 days.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that heavy rainfall is likely to occur in Bengaluru (Bengaluru Rain) for 3 days from today (November 22). Due to depression in the Bay of Bengal, it is likely to rain again in the state capital Bengaluru from today.

Not only Bengaluru but most of the coastal areas of Karnataka, many parts of the southern hinterland, some parts of the northern hinterland from today. Heavy rainfall is likely till 24th. Bengaluru  will have cloudy weather in the morning and it will rain in the evening.

Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Shivamogga, Kodagu, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Bengluru, Bengaluru Rural, Mandya, Ramanagara, Mysuru, Tumkur, Vijayapur and Haveri and other districts are forecasted for 3 days of widespread rainfall from today.

A depression over the southwest parts of the Southern Bay of Bengal will likely track west-northwestwards and approach the south Andhra Pradesh coast to Tamil Nadu – Puducherry coasts and then weaken to a well-marked low-pressure area around November 22.

Thereafter, it will likely move west-northwestwards towards north Tamilnadu-Puducherry and south Andhra Pradesh coasts during the subsequent 3 days. Under its influence, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall is likely over South peninsular India, especially over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, peaking on November 22-23.
