General Impact and Advisory:

Visibility may become poor due to intense rainfall, potentially leading to traffic congestion. Temporary disruption of traffic due to water logging, uprooting of trees, or breaking of tree branches is possible. Possibility of flash floods due to intense rainfall in vulnerable areas.

Residents, especially in flood and landslide-prone areas, are advised to remain alert, avoid staying in vulnerable structures, and take shelter during thunderstorm/lightning activities.

IMD uses a color-coded warning system:

Green: No warning

Yellow: Be aware

Orange: Be prepared

Red: Take action

Given the forecast of “heavy to very heavy rain” in coastal districts from July 15th, it’s crucial for residents in those areas to be prepared for significant rainfall and its potential impacts.
