Covid-19 cases down in Karnataka, Reports over 12,000 new cases and 320 death

Bengaluru: The state of Karnataka has witnessed over 12,000 new COVID-19 cases amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis across several states. With 12,209 new cases, the total number of infections in the state has reached 26.95 lakh amid these testing times.

While the total number of fresh cases has crossed the 26 lakh mark, the toll in the state Karnataka has surged to 31,580. As many as 320 more people have lost their lives due to the destruction caused by the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in the state of Karnataka. On Sunday, the state witnessed 25,659 people getting discharged as the count outnumbered the new COVID-19 cases in Karnataka.

India reported 1,14,460 new COVID-19 cases, 1,89,232 discharges, and 2,677 deaths in the last 24 hours, informed the Union Health Ministry on Sunday. This is the lowest number of cases reported in the last two months. On April 5, 96,982 cases were reported.

The country’s cumulative caseload reached 2,88,09,339 including 14,77,79 active cases, 2,69,84,781 discharges and 2,69,84,781 deaths.
