BPL Ration Card: These 5 criteria can cancel your Ration Card

BPL Ration Card: Karnataka Government has given a big shock to those who have applied for BPL Ration Card. Also, a big shock has been given before cancelling the card of those who already have a BPL card and are in good financial condition.

The Food Department has also fixed 6 criteria for that, and considering not only cancelling the BPL cards but also imposing heavy fines on such users. In this regard, the Food Department has monitored those who have received BPL Card even though they are not eligible.

It is also planning to conduct a survey about the financial status of BPL card holders. It is said that this survey will be conducted on 6 criteria. Should not have White board car, fixed annual income, government employees, fixed land. The decision to cancel the BPL card will be taken soon even though the financial condition of those who were under the 6 criteria earlier has improved.

Those with annual income exceeding 1.2 lakhs, those having dry land of more than 3 hectares, having house area of more than 1000 square feet in urban areas, commercial, income tax, IT return payers have been surveyed and it is proposed to cancel their BPL card.

What are the 6 new criteria for cancellation of BPL card:

BPL card holders cannot own a whiteboard car

Income cannot exceed 1.2 lakhs per annum

If the agricultural land is more than 3 hectares, the BPL card will be cancelled

A house cannot have an area of more than 1000 square feet in an urban area

No one in the family of a BPL card holder can be a government employee

BPL card holders cannot be income tax, IT return, commercial tax payers

The above six criteria have been prescribed by the Food Department for the new BPL card applicants and existing holders. The food department is starting a survey soon to see if this standard is exceeded. If this criterion is exceeded, the decision to cancel such BPL card will also come.
