The state government has taken many steps to prevent illegal BPL Ration card. It is being said that now they are tainting the information of BPL ration card holders who own four wheelers and preparing a list to fine such persons. Through this, Antyodaya card holder is going to give a shock to those who own a four-wheeler and have a food ration card. A notice has been issued by government to pay fine to 12,584 ration card holders in the state for owning four-wheelers. It is being said that the government has used the weapon of punishment because these ration card holders have been warned many times in the past that they had a four-wheeler, but did not return it.

Similarly, the state government issued instruction to return Antyodaya and BPL card who own the four wheeler vehicle holder by September 3, 2019. After that the period was also extended. Even so, ration card holders had not surrendered their cards. It is against this backdrop that the state government has now issued a notice to Antyodaya and BPL card holders who own four-wheelers across the state.

Cardholders are advised to attend the food section of Taluk Office within 3 days of receiving the notice and pay the fine amount. The penalty amount is levied as per the market rate. After paying this fine, Antyodaya, BPL card will be converted into APL.
