The much awaited 2023 ICC ODI World Cup tournament will be held from October 05 to November 19 across 10 different stadiums in India. The tournament will get an official start with defending champion England and runner-up New Zealand facing each other in the inaugural match.

The tournament will get an official start with defending champion England and runner-up New Zealand facing each other in the inaugural match to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

This is the first time that India has hosted a complete ODI World Cup tournament, and 10 teams, including the host Rohit Sharma-led Team India, will fight for the title. The International Cricket Committee (ICC) has announced on Friday that it will give a prize money of 40 lakh US dollars (approximately Rs 33 crore) to the winning team in the upcoming ODI World Cup.

The runner-up team will get 20 lakh US dollars (approximately Rs. 16 crores). The same amount was given in the 2019 World Cup. The ICC said that it has set aside a total of 10 million US dollars to distribute to the teams. Rs 6 crore rupees each for the 2 teams who lose in the semi-finals, Rs 82 lakh each for the 6 teams who fail to enter the knockout stage. Will get incentive money.

Rs 33 lakh each for each win in the group stage. ICC has informed that the prize money will be received. The World Cup has started from November 5 and will continue till November 19. A total of 10 teams including India will fight for the trophy.
