Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli out from Team: BCCI finally said reason
In a development that points the way for India's white-ball cricket, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have asked the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) not to consider them for the white ball tour of South Africa.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced India’s squad for the T20Is, Tests and ODIs against South Africa. In a development that points the way for India’s white-ball cricket, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have asked the Board of Cricket in India (BCCI) not to consider them for the white ball tour of South Africa. This meant that the Ajit Agarkar-led selection committee had to name three different captains for the three formats for the month-long tour.
Yuzvendra Chahal, Sanju Samson are back:
They both faced a World Cup snub but are back in the reckoning for the ODIs. “Here we go again,” Chahal tweeted after being selected for the ODIs. Samson is a quiet man but he lets his bat do the talking. He still has plenty of time to play in the next World Cup 2023.

Team India has a lot of youngsters including Rinku Singh and Jitesh Sharma. He will continue to be a part of the set-up, which is a good sign looking to the future and the T20 WC is not too far away. The selectors will want to test these youngsters as much as possible before the WC. It is good to see the likes of Rajat Patidar, Sai Sudarshan, Rinku, Arshdeep playing in ODIs as well.
