Mayank Agarwal, who was on the plane with the team to travel to Surat for the next Ranji match. Report says that he drunk the water placed in the front of the flight. Mayank feels a burning sensation in his throat as he drinks the water. Also the mouth and tongue feel like burning. Thus, Mayank is unable to speak and fell ill on the flight. He was immediately admitted to the hospital and is being treated in the intensive care unit.

Karnataka managed to eke out a 29-run victory over Tripura on the final day of its Ranji Trophy Group-C match at the Maharaja Bir Bikram College Stadium on Monday.

Chasing 193, the host, starting from its overnight score of 59 for three, was bowled out for 163. The six points thus earned helped Karnataka get its campaign back on track after two below-par outings against Gujarat and Goa.
