Lucknow Super Giants play with these team in Group A for IPL 2022

The IPL Governing Council at its meeting held Thursday made the following key decisions regarding the TATA IPL 2022 Season. The 2022 Indian Premier League will see a tweak in format as 10 teams will be divided into groups of five but the number of matches per side will remain 14. KL Rahul lead Lucknow Super Giants play with these team in Group A for IPL 2022.

A total of 70 league matches will be played across four international standard venues in Mumbai and Pune. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday, February 25 announced that the IPL 2022 with 10 teams will get underway on March 26 and the final will be played on May 29. Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians same group.

KL Rahul lead Lucknow Super Giants in group B with Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians. Lucknow Super Giants will play 2 match each with Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, Rajasthan Royals, Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans. And paly one match each with Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings. All teams will play 4 matches each at Wankhede Stadium and DY Patil Stadium.

3 matches each at Brabourne Stadium (CCI) and MCA International Stadium, Pune. The 10 teams will play a total of 14 league matches (7 home matches and 7 away matches) totalling to 70 league matches, followed by the 4 playoff matches. The venue for the playoff matches will be decided later. In TATA IPL 2022 match will play in 4 different ground Mumbai – Wankhede Stadium 20 Matches. Lucknow Super Giants will play most matches in Mumbai grounds.

Mumbai – Brabourne Stadium (CCI) 15 Matches, Mumbai – DY Patil Stadium 20 Matches, Pune – MCA International Stadium 15 Matches. The decision to play the matches in a single hub (the Mumbai-Pune corridor) has been taken to avoid air travel in a bid to avoid the risk of Covid-19 infection.
