Lucknow and Ahmedabad team choose Captain for IPL 2022

Indian Premier League season 15 IPL 2022 before mega auction the new two teams have the option of selecting three players each. It is now reported that the Lucknow and Ahmedabad franchises have chosen their leaders. Two new franchises ready to pick KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer .

According to the report, Kannadiga KL Rahul is almost certain to appear as the leader of the Lucknow team. The Lucknow franchise has already held talks with Rahul and is likely to reach an agreement soon. In other side Ahmedabad franchisee contact Shreyas Iyer, It is also said that Iyer will be seen as the new team Ahmedabad captain for next season IPL 2022.

KL Rahul had experience of leading the Punjab Kings in last 2 season. Shreyas Iyer was the captain of the Delhi Capitals team. This is why the new franchises have chosen these two. The new franchise need to make agreement with players report said. The second choice of the Lucknow franchise is leg spinner Rasheed Khan, while Ishaan Kishan is said to be on the radar as the third player.

Thus, Lucknow is likely to elect KL Rahul, Rashid Khan and Ishaan Kishan. On the other hand, the Ahmedabad franchise’s radar has the names of Hardik Pandya and David Warner and Quinton Dyak. It is said that two of the three could be chosen along with Shreyas Iyer.

BCCI has now announced that don’t do any agreement with the players to the new franchises Lucknow and Ahmedabad . This is because the Ahmedabad franchisee CVC has invested in the betting business. Thus the BCCI is in talks about continuing this franchise in the IPL. Also, the BCCI has instructed new franchises not to contract with any players until the final decision is announced.
