IPL 2024 Schedule: RCB will face CSK in opening match on March 22

Indian premier League (IPL 2024) T20 tournament still three months away, the IPL is the talk of the town with teams announcing their retained and released player lists for the upcoming season. IPL 2024 Schedule: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 22.

MS Dhoni Led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will face Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Chennai on March 22, in IPL 2024. IPL 2023 was an extravagant affair with the tournament returning to a home-and-away format after three years of COVID-19 protocols.

The champions of IPL 2022, Gujarat Titans, finished the regular season at the top spot with 10 wins and four losses. In contrast, Sunrisers Hyderabad were the worst performers, finishing tenth after winning four matches.

Further talking about IPL 2024, the trade window on the eve of the auction on December 19 created a lot of buzz with some blockbuster transactions. One such transfer saw Gujarat Titans captain Hardik Pandya return to his first IPL franchise Mumbai Indians in an all-cash deal.

To accommodate this trade, the five-time champions had their most expensive player, Australian all-rounder Cameron Green, on a similar all-cash deal to Royal Challengers Bangalore. Green could make his debut for the Bangalore-based franchise against Chennai Super Kings in the opening match of IPL 2024 in Chennai on March 22.
