Gautam Gambhir receives death threat from ISIS Kashmir
Gautam Gambhir: Indian national cricket team head coach and former BJP MP Gautam Gambhir has reportedly received a death threat call from “ISIS Kashmir”. On Wednesday, he approached the Delhi Police, filed a formal complaint seeking registration of an FIR and steps to protect his family’s security, his office said.
Delhi Police is expected to conduct a thorough investigation and take appropriate steps to protect him and his close associates. Media reported that Gambhir received two threatening emails on April 22. One email came in the afternoon, the other in the evening. Both emails contained the message ‘I kill u’.

Delhi Police has also responded to the death threat. “We have been informed that a threat letter has been received on an email ID related to Gautam Gambhir. “He is already under the protection of Delhi Police and we will not comment on specific security arrangements,” the police said.
Reports suggest that this is not the first time Gambhir has received such death threats. He had received a similar email in November 2021. The attack came a day after the Pahalgam terror attack that shocked the entire country. Gambhir had expressed his condolences to the deceased on social media.

“Praying for the families of the deceased. Those responsible for this will have to pay the price. India will attack,” Gambhir wrote on Twitter.
