T20 WC May shift to UAE due to COVID-19 situation: BCCI Secretary Jay Shah

Mumbai: Jay Shah Secretar BCCI on saurday said the T20 World Cup may have to be shifted from India to UAE due to covid-19 pandamic. We are monitoring situation closely ,the health and saftey of player are paramount we will take a final call soon he told.

The report also mentioned that the Super 12 phase of the tournament will be held across three venues in the UAE Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah while Round 1 is set to be co-hosted by one of the venues in UAE and Oman.

The remainder of IPL, which was suspended in May, will resume from September 19 in UAE and the T20 World Cup will begin just days after the IPL final, the report added.
