However, it was posted on social media posing as a survey conducted by this organization. In this surveys, it was predicted that the I.N.D.I.A alliance would win. However, the BBC itself has clarified about this. It has clarified that it has never conducted such surveys. BBC has posted a pre-election survey for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on social media and this post has gone viral. In this, it is predicted that the I.N.D.I.A alliance of the opposition parties will get a huge majority.

A social media user who shared a YouTube link (collection) on Facebook wrote that BBC Survey for 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. In this YouTube link, it is explained that the I.N.D.I.A alliance will come close to majority in 543 seats of the Lok Sabha elections.

Another Facebook user shared a screenshot of what appears to be the cover image of a YouTube video. The title of this screen shot is: ‘BBC Survey for Lok Sabha Elections’. BBC India logo is also present in this screenshot. Along with this, TV journalist Ravish Kumar’s photo has also been used.

What is the truth of this news?

An investigation by News Meter proved this to be false. BBC organization has not conducted any such survey related to Indian Lok Sabha elections 2024. The YouTube video shared by the Facebook user is currently unavailable. It has been removed due to trademark infringement.

No such report has been found while searching whether BBC has reported anything related to Lok Sabha elections 2024 in India. The video on the BBC pre-election survey is no longer available on Ravish Kumar’s YouTube channel.

A link to the BBC Hindi website was available when searching the internet with appropriate keywords about this. In this, a report titled ‘What is the truth about the viral survey in the name of BBC?’

In this report, BBC has informed that they have not conducted any such election survey. BBC wants to clarify this, we have not conducted any kind of election survey. We are confirming that this is a fake news spread in the name of BBC,’ the BBC informed in this report.
