Karnataka Election 2023: If BJP get majority Shobha Karandlaje is next CM

Only 25 days are left for the Karnataka assembly elections. Various political parties including Congress, BJP, JDS are practicing for the elections. But candidates for some constituencies have not been finalized yet. In the meantime, the discussion about the CM candidates has started in the BJP party. There are rumors that MP Shobha Karandlaje is going to return to state politics. Moreover, the BJP has a majority in the state, and Shobha Karandlaje is the chief minister of the state. Shobha Karandlaje has been elected twice as MP from Udupi-Chikkamagalur. She is currently serving as a Union Minister. Before Shobha Karandlaje entered the Lok Sabha, she won from the Yeshvantpura assembly constituency and worked as a minister in the state.

Now there is an indication to return to state politics again. Presently, BS Yeddyurappa and Jagadish Shettar have dropped out of the Chief Minister race in the state. It is doubtful that Basavaraj Bommai will become CM for another term. On the other hand, the names of BL Santosh, Pratap Simha, CT Ravi, BY Vijayendra are also in the Chief Minister race. Sobha Karandlaje’s name is being heard in the forefront of the CM race.

BJP in Karnataka was not given seat to senior MLAs in this assembly election. Most of the young MLAs are likely to be elected this time. BJP has already announced to give a woman Chief Minister to Karnataka. On the other hand, Shobha Karandlaje belongs to Okkaliga community. So BJP is planning to make Shobha Karandlaje as CM and Lingayat community as DCM.

Once Shobha Karandlaje is made the CM, the BJP has formed a plan to remove the label of women’s representation. On the other hand, through Shobha Karandlaje, who is close to former CM Yeddyurappa. In the previous elections, the Okkaliga community did not favor the BJP. Even in Old Mysore, BJP has not been able to win many seats.

For this reason, the BJP has mostly fielded Okkaliga candidates in this election. If the BJP wins this election, there is a possibility that Shobha Karandlaje will become the Chief Minister of the state.
