Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 in the state are just a few months away. Meanwhile, the calculations of the political parties are loud. The leader of the opposition and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is curious about which constituency. Siddaramaiah will contest this time as it is certain that he will contest from the Kolar assembly constituency. For the past six months, Siddaramaiah’s name has been in the limelight along with the Kolar assembly constituency. Accordingly, Siddaramaiah will contest from Kolar and will participate in election activities from next month.

Amidst the political debates that Siddaramaiah would choose a Muslim-dominated constituency, many Congress leaders including former Speaker and MLA Ramesh Kumar continued to pressurize Siddaramaiah to choose the Kolar constituency. Even though Siddaramaiah won from Badami constituency in the last election, it is a bit difficult for Siddaramaiah at this age to go from Bangalore and carry out continuous campaigning in Badami.

Therefore, Siddaramaiah thought that it would be better to choose a constituency that is close to Bengaluru. Similarly, Siddaramaiah, who has chosen the Kolar constituency, will make his official entry into the Kolar constituency from next month after offering prayers at Siti Hill.

Before selecting the Kolar constituency, it is said that a lot of surveys were done, including the Muslim predominance and the number of Dalit voters. Siddaramaiah has come to this decision only after he felt that Kolar is safe from all aspects. On November 11 or 13, Siddaramaiah will visit Vemagal Hobali Siti Bairaveshwar temple in Kolar and will start election campaign by offering special pooja here.
