Ration card aspirants have to link their Aadhaar number to avail the benefits of Antyodaya Yojana, Priority Housing Schemes. That is why the government is repeatedly asking the ration card holders to link their Aadhaar card. Those who link the ration card with Aadhaar card can get free ration. Free ration materials can be obtained from the government every month.

Linking Aadhaar Card to Ration Card is free. This service is available online or offline for free. There are people who got two or three ration cards in one’s name. To prevent such irregularities, the central government has made it mandatory to link the Aadhaar card to the ration card. Further, ration cards may be withdrawn for ineligible persons.

To link Aadhaar card to ration card visit the nearest government office or follow the below steps to link Aadhaar card to ration card online.

Open your state’s public distribution system portal.

Click on Ration Card, Aadhaar Card linking link.

After that enter your ration card number, aadhaar number, and mobile number.

Enter the OTP sent to your mobile number.

After entering the OTP, Aadhaar card will be linked to your ration card.

Government issues ration cards to provide food to people at subsidized rates or free. Under the National Food Security Act, people can get rationed goods from the government at subsidized rates or for free. Ration cards can be submitted as proof of identity.
