Obtaining a learner’s permit is very important. For example, when you get your permanent license, a Learner’s Licence Registration (LLR) is required. If you wish, you can take it at age 16. But, under this you are only allowed to drive a vehicle with an engine capacity of less than 50cc.

Follow these steps to get a Learner’s Licence Registration (LLR):

1. For this, you must first go to the official site https://sarathi.parivahan.gov.in/sarathiservice/stateSelection.do to apply for the license.

2. Now first select your state here. After this select Learning License option. When you click on learner’s license option, you will see Aadhaar option, fill your Aadhaar card details there.

3. After this, you will be asked to submit the necessary documents. After doing this, you will receive an OTP on your phone. After filling all the documents, choose the payment option. Note that once the payment fails, you will have to pay a fee of 50 rupees again.

4. After doing this simple process, your Learning License will be delivered to your home within 7 days. But if you want to get your permanent license, you have to go to RTO office for this.

Without a driving license, you cannot drive on the roads in India, so it is also used as a personal verification document. It is applicable for 20 years from the date of issue of driving license.
