Good news: Indian Railway reduced train fare by 30 percent

Indian Railway reduced train fare: Everything from bus fares to train fares is going up these days. The platform ticket has also increased. In such cases IRCTC plans to reduce the ticket fare of ‘Bharat Gaurav Train’. Good news: Indian Railway reduced train fare by 30%.

Railway officials said that due to poor response from the passengers (occupancy rate), the final decision to reduce the ticket fee by 20 to 30 percent is yet to be taken. Also, there is a situation where IRCTC has to cancel at least two special tour packages, said Indian Railway official.

There are opinions that the fare in Bharat Darshan trains is less compared to these trains. In this move, IRCTC is planning to reduce AC 3 tier fares on Bharat Gaurav trains. It seems to have been approved. Railway sources said that IRCTC has to take the final decision.

IRCTC has managed to operate only one service of this train on the Ramayana circuit under the Swadesh Darshan scheme. 18 days package on Bharat Gaurav Tourism train AC-III price is Rs 62,000. In 2021, the Railways launched Bharat Gaurav Trains with the aim of informing people about India’s cultural, heritage, famous historical places and major pilgrimage destinations.

Departing from Delhi’s Safdarjung Railway Station under the Ramayana Circuit, the train will reach Nepal after passing through many historical places. The ticket price for this journey of 18 days is Rs.62,000.

Initially this train received good response. Coming up, it’s all gone. Opinions are coming that the ticket price has increased. Apart from this, there are complaints from the passengers that the 15-year-old ICF coaches are making passengers feel uncomfortable. IRCTC is planning in this direction as there is a situation where the ticket price has to be reduced without any other option.
