New Delhi: Over 4.14 lakh fresh infections were reported on Thursday and also 3.927 deaths. Daily death count has now stayed above 3,000 for 10 days in a row. Maharashtra reported the most fatalities at 853.
UP, Delhi and Karnataka also reported over 300 deaths each. Kerala and Madhya Pradesh have imposed lockdown amid a surge in cases. Cities such as Delhi and Mumbai have shown marked improvement. However, the situation is worsening a lot faster in the southern states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
