Prime Minister Narendra Modi today while addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Rad Fort in Delhi attacked Opposition parties, who he has often accused of nepotism and corruption. Independence Day: PM Modi hoisted the flag at Red Fort for the 10th time.

If we want to achieve our dreams, “mukti” (freedom) from three evils is necessary, he said corruption, nepotism, and appeasement. Some problems became a part of our system in the last 75 years, the PM said, in an apparent swipe at the Congress.

Some parties follow dynastic politics and the party is of the family, by the family, and for the family, PM Modi said, adding that we need to launch a campaign against corruption. “Appeasement politics has murdered social justice,” he added.

“I live and breathe for the citizens. Even when I dream, I dream for you citizens. I consider you my parivar jan (family members),” he said while concluding his speech. On the occasion of 77th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort.

During his address PM Modi announced the Vishwakarma scheme, with an allocation of Rs 13,000 crore to Rs 15,000 crore for those with traditional skills. As per the Prime Minister, this scheme is especially for skilled work like barbers, goldsmiths, washer men etc. The scheme will be launched next month i.e. in September on the Vishwakarma Jayanti. Vishwakarma Jayanti falls on 17 September 2023.

“The government will launch Vishwakarma scheme with allocation of Rs 13,000 to Rs 15,000 crores in the next month for those with traditional skills,” PM Modi said during his Independence Day speech.  During his speech, the Prime Minister also spoke about the people of Manipur. While speaking about the violence in the North-Eastern state, PM Modi said peace is the only way to resolve all disputes, adding that, the Central and the state government had been working on maintaining peace.
