IMD issued heavy rainfall alert in these states for next 5 days
According to the India Meteorological Department, many places including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are likely to receive heavy rains for the next few days. The Indian Meteorological Department said on Saturday that a new cyclone is forming in many areas, including northwest Bay of Bengal.
In many states that have been facing hot weather for the past few days, it has been raining since last Friday night. But the weather department has warned that there is a possibility of heavy rain for the next few days. IMD issued heavy rainfall alert in these states for next 5 days.
According to the India Meteorological Department, many places including Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are likely to receive heavy rains for the next few days. The Indian Meteorological Department said on Saturday that a new cyclone is forming in many areas, including northwest Bay of Bengal.
Due to this, heavy rain is expected in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana from September 12. Besides, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra are likely to witness heavy rains on Saturday and Sunday. According to the IMD, heavy rainfall will occur in the northeast region in the next three days.
Weather department also said that Light to heavy rains with thundershowers are expected over eastern India. Besides, heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Himalayan region, West Bengal and Bihar. Weather conditions will be good in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 12th September.
South India will witness light to heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday. Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal regions may receive light to moderate rains and heavy rains are expected at few places, the IMD said. According to the India Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is expected at various places in Marathwada and Gujarat region on Saturday.
There is a possibility of rain with thunder and lightning at some places. Besides, similar situation will prevail in Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra on Saturday and Sunday. Meanwhile, monsoon will continue till September 12 in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rain at various places in East Rajasthan on Saturday. Also, the IMD has predicted heavy rains with thundershowers in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday and Sunday.
