IMD issued heavy rainfall alert for 5 days: issued orange alert

The weather department India Meteorological Department said that due to the moisture from the Arabian Sea, northwest India will have similar weather today and tomorrow and there will be thunderstorms in North-Western India for 5 days. IMD issued heavy rainfall alert for 5 days: issued orange alert.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an Orange alert for Haryana, North-East Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms in Delhi for the next 3-4 days, it said. It also noted that there is a possibility of heavy rain in North-East Uttar Pradesh and thunderstorm in other areas on Sunday.

Rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning and occasional gusty winds, squall very likely over Northwest India during next 4-5 days. Hailstorm very likely at isolated places over East Uttar Pradesh on 27 May and over north Rajasthan on 28 and 29 May

Thundersquall and Gusty Wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph likely at isolated places over Haryana and Delhi on 27 May. Similar weather conditions will prevail over Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan on 27 and 28 May.

Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Haryana and northeast Rajasthan on 27 May, over northwest Uttar Pradesh on 27 and 28 May. Rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning, and gusty winds very likely to continue over Assam, Meghalaya and Mizoram, and Tripura during next 24 hours and reduction thereafter.

Heavy rainfall at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland 27 May. Rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning, and gusty winds very likely over Madhya Pradesh during next 3 days.

Rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning, and gusty winds winds very likely over West Bengal, Sikkim, Bihar and Jharkhand during next 2 days. Heavy rainfall very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim on 27 May.

Rainfall with thunderstorm, lightning, and gusty winds very likely over Kerala during next 5 days. Heavy rainfall very likely over Tamil Nadu on 27 May and over Kerala during 27 to 29 May, and over South Interior Karnataka on 29 May.
