Gold rates and silver rates today fell in Indian markets, a day after witnessing big gains. On MCX, gold price fell 0.3% to Rs 50230 per 10 gram while silver edged 0.06% to Rs 63825 per kg. Gold price had jumped about Rs 900 on Thursday amid Ukraine tensions.
Gold rates in India fell by Rs 4,000 per kg on Friday. The gold price in India for 22-carat gold per 10 grams was Rs 45,800 and for 24-carat was Rs 49,970, according to data on goodreturns’ website. The gold rates touched an 8-month high amidst the Russia-Ukraine conflict and rising oil prices
In global markets, gold rates slipped today after US-Russia agreed for talks over the Ukraine standoff, easing some geopolitical concerns that had fueled demand for the haven asset. Spot gold fell 0.4% to $1,890.91. Ukraine tensions had roiled global financial markets in recent days as US ramped up warned of a possible Russian attack though Kremlin said no invasion was planned.
